White Bean Chili

With the exception of the onion and cheese, all ingredients can be stored in your pantry for a quick, spur-of-the-moment meal.

 1 medium onion, chopped
 2 Tablespoons butter
2 15 ounce cans great northern beans, un-drained
 2 5 ounce cans chunk-style turkey, un-drained
 1 cup beer
1 4 ounce can chopped mild green chile peppers
2 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
 1 teaspoon chili powder
 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup Monterey jack cheese, shredded

Cook onion in butter until tender. Stir in beans, turkey, beer, chili peppers, bouillon, and garlic powder. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with cheese.
